Had the best time at this unique spot in Ruidoso! Perfect for a birthday weekend. It was cozy and spacious. Even some furry friends (elk and deer)came to visit us outside. Good times all around!!

Pine Tin Inn was such a cute and cozy stay. Loved the area and how it was not too far from town. The cabin had everything you needed!

This cabin was absolutely adorable! We were greeted by deer sitting the yard and always had a view of elk grazing on the golf course across the street. The kitchen had many amenties and we loved the hot tub!

We booked the Pine Tin Inn as a little get away weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect the location is scenic and quiet. We got the opportunity to feed elks in the front yard! The property was really homey and cute. We will definitely be back again!

“This is such a great cabin and so much better than staying in one of the crowded places near midtown or upper canyon. The elk were always in the yard and we loved the Jacuzzi and porch. The inside of the cabin was so great and super comfy! Very close to town and to Ski Apache, the casino, etc.—we will be back!”

The Pine Tin Inn was a perfect place for our weekend getaway! The dogs and humans alike, enjoyed the cabin. The hot tub was a big hit. We hope to be back!
By Lynn, Posted: 08/02/2019
The place was clean and comfortable and has a great front deck for eating meals on. The house is in a great location - there is a walking path across the street, and the dog park is a short walk up the path. It was very easy to get to town from the Inn. There is no A/C but with opening the front and back doors, and using the ceiling fan and box fan, the house cools off easily. 08/05/2019 at 3:04 PM

Cozy, comfortable, and convenient! The location was absolutely perfect for the things we wanted to do, especially proximity to the walking and hiking trails. Adorable decor, and well-equipped kitchen.

Holy charm! We've never stayed in such an adorable space. From the cozy lighting touches to the unique flow of every corner, we were in love! The hottub was also so clean and perfect in the cool night air. We hope to make this a regular spot for us! We could not believe the charm and the amenities! Thank you!

The Pine Tin Inn was awesome I fall in love with that place I would definitely comeback some other time. The only thing I was really sad about was that there was a leak in the place so the city had to shut the water down, and we had to move to another place. Hummingbird management was super helpful they got us a new place right away which it was even more big! I was still a little sad that we had to move since that little cabin was so cozy! Anyway I will definitely recommend staying in this place!

This cabin was a perfect retreat for my wife and I and our little doggie. She loved it too. Very clean, quiet and private. We will come back to this cabin again if available. And our experience with Hummingbird was first rate and enjoyable.
By Janette, Posted: 05/01/2019
We really enjoyed our stay. We were just a short walk from the dog park and the walking trail around the golf course. The house was very comfortable and has lots of outdoor seating as well.

Welcome to the Pine Tin Inn! I hope you get to enjoy everything special that Ruidoso has to offer. My journey with Hummingbird Cabins began in January 2016. I booked tickets to see Merle Haggard in concert at Inn of the Mountain Gods after a visit in December. In researching for the perfect vacation rental for the concert stay, I found the Happy Bear's Cabin, managed by Hummingbird Cabins, and booked it. Merle Haggard became sick before the concert date and the concert was cancelled. We decided to continue on with our plan to rent the cabin and decided to view properties instead. The first property we viewed the day the concert was supposed to happen was the unique A-frame cabin across from the Links Golf Course. My sister and I loved it! As I stepped off the front deck steps, I noticed a penny on the ground and I picked it up. There were other cabins viewed but none as memorable as this one. We attended church the following day at the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso. We met a couple of fine dressed ladies and told them what brought us to Ruidoso. They said they would pray for my potential vacation rental venture. I felt deeply touched during the service during the first few songs and I knew that Ruidoso was where I needed to invest and spend more time at. I decided to make an offer on the cabin several weeks later and by March that little A-frame cabin became mine. In April a friend had agreed to travel with me from Alaska to help prepare the place for rental. The single important factor that brought me to Ruidoso that January, Merle Haggard, passed away on April 6, while we were working on the cabin. I took this as affirmation that all of this was meant to be and in May of 2016 we went live on Hummingbird Cabins web site! It has been a fun and exciting journey to continue improving the cabin every few months for all of my guests! The staff at Hummingbird Cabins has been wonderful to deal with, the manager is the still the same one I dealt with when I rented my first cabin in 2016 and he has been amazing every step of the way! It is my wish that the cabin will be enjoyed greatly by those who come to stay in between my own wonderful visits. Some of my favorite things to do on stays besides working on my cabin, raking pine needles or decorating for Christmas have been riding the gondolas up to the top of Ski Apache where the White Sands view is such a treat to take in, shopping in the downtown shops, the salad bar at K-Bobs, gambling at one of the three casinos, walking the Link trail with my ‘Go Team' Airport Crisis Therapy Dog named Levi then soaking in the hot tub after a nice walk on a chilly night! The full moon and stars are most amazing from the hot tub while gazing up through the tall pines and I have never missed a drive up Main Rd in Upper Canyon, especially at Christmastime! Ruidoso has some truly amazing people, churches and scenery and one of the most amazing places where spiritual awakening has played a huge role in my stays! I hope the area touches your soul in a very special way, too as you enjoy ‘My', ‘Your', ‘Our' cabin, the Pine Tin Inn and please feel free to leave a review online or in the guest book!
Sincerely, Owner of the Pine Tin Inn

Comfortable cabin. Needs a little attention, but awesome rental. Downstairs bathroom water pressure in sink is horrible. But, EVERYTHING else was great. Would definitely rent again.

we just recently stayed at the pine tin inn and we thought it was a beautiful homey place the hot tub was secluded and comfy it was a very unique house. The only downfall was there was pet hair on the couch and the rug in the living room we had a little one that crawled and she was covered in the hair.
By Cristal, Posted: 03/05/2018
Pine Tin Inn was very quaint, easily accessed and located near the main downtown area while also being tucked away with some privacy. Unfortunately it was very windy so we did not get a chance to do the few things we wanted to on our stay like use the hot tub (and zip line). Pros are it was spacious, decor made it feel like it was your cabin away from home, restrooms and kitchen area were very clean and also spacious, cabin heats quickly and comfortably, the guide left provided favorite places to eat and then some. They also gave clear check in instructions and directions. Great communication! Cons were linens needed to be washed and couches and carpets cleaned. Since it is a pet friendly place it needed a thorough pet cleaning. I would recommend for future guests (also recommended by the cabin) to not let your dogs on the furniture. There was also a strong smell upon entering the cabin. All items were emailed and per the rental company being checked on. Other than that it was a good stay. Had we not had to wash one of the linens, had animal hair everywhere in the living room and the strong smell, it would have been a phenomenal one. Also, please note the stairs that lead to the second bedroom/loft are very narrow. They do have rubber on each step for traction and grip. Lots of detail and effort went into Pine Tin Inn. I would recommend staying there.

We had a great time at the cabin is super nice and cozy, they have everything you need for your stay, place was neat and clean, the host was very responsive to our needs and make things easier and faster for us, i would highly recommend this cabin to a family or anyone that is trying to get away from the routine and enjoy the quietness, comfort of this area, nice views and the interaction of with the natural environment, another thing that we like was the fact that is only 30 minutes away from ski apache where we had a blast skiing and playing with the snow, also is very well located with all kind of stores and restaurants near by in case you need something. Huge thumbs up for this cabin ?.

What a beautiful A-frame! We come to Ruidoso every year and this was our first time at Pine Tin Inn. It was even more beautiful than the online photos. We enjoyed 7 nights of fires, Jacuzzi, lovely meals cooked in the well-stocked kitchen. We loved every moment of our stay -- the skiing was the worst since the 43 years I've come here, but the cabin made up for it.

What a beautiful A- Frame house. We come to Ruidoso every year but had never stayed with hummingbird before. We loved our cabin, we loved the view, and the home is even more beautiful than it was in your pictures. Thank you, we will see you in a year.

5 stars!!
By John, Posted: 09/07/2017
Pine Tin Inn was nice but probably a little overpriced for the value. A little quirky – 2nd bedroom is really a loft with minimal privacy (bathroom is open to the den below !?) Bedroom TV didn’t get service. No AC. It was nice as a touchdown area with minimal time actually spent in the cabin. Convenient location. Irritated that we weren’t allowed to check in or even drop off bags until 4:00 without paying $80 more dollars – cabin was clean and vacant for days prior, so I don’t understand why you have to get another fee out of the only interested renter that you had for the cabin.
