Beautiful cabin in the woods with a perfect western theme and an awesome porch to sit on and gaze up at the stars. Everything was perfect about it, comfy, clean, view was lovely, etc. Our dog loved it too! We would definitely recommend and definitely would go back! (:

Hummingbird Cabin

Stayed here on a girls trip. We had a great time playing games, shopping and just enjoying each other’s company. The kitchen is equipped with anything you would need. It’s very quiet and peaceful here. Sit on the deck and listen to the birds and the leaves rustling in the breeze. There is plenty of space to spread out with plenty of comfy furniture. You just need to come and enjoy Hummingbird Cabin.

Big Sky Lodge and Bunkhouse

Stayed here for Christmas and got snowed in for one day! It was wonderful as we had everything we could have needed - entertainment, gaming for the kids, gorgeous winter wonderland scenery for snowball fights, a polar bear plunge, the hot tub to thaw out, many closely contested card games, and gourmet food. All this was in the absolutely gorgeously decorated home. It was incredibly functional, immaculately clean, new and with all the amenities you could imagine. When we weren’t snowed in, we went skiing. The slopes were only minutes away, and the weather was perfect. Close by were all the terrific shops and eateries of downtown. This home made unforgettable memories for my family. We’ll be back again! I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Great place to get away with friends and family and plenty of room to spread out. Secluded in the woods but easy to get to downtown and enjoy the shopping. You will also see plenty of deer, elk and possibly some wild horses. We will definitely be back!!

Serenity Lodge

Serenity Lodge is absolutely gorgeous with EVERYTHING you need. It is immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The home owners spared no expense when choosing high end building materials, decor, and making sure their guests have all the luxuries of home and a high scale resort in one. We can't wait to visit this home again. It's the best vacation home we have ever been to!

The Spotted Owl Cabin is comfortable, well-designed, quiet, and well-equipped. The kitchen is spacious, clean, and has what you need to prepare even full meals. The hot tub is clean and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spotted Owl, and would visit again.

Rainbow Oaks

The cabin was nice with the three bedrooms and two baths. The family members who stayed there had privacy and plenty of room. The covered and enclosed patio was great for grilling and eating and playing games in the fresh air. Having the river right out the back door was a plus. The Little House was perfect for my wife and I. It is just the right size for a couple. Overall, a great experience.

My husband and I wanted to rent a vacation home (specifically one with a hot tub) and just get away from everything for a few days. We didn’t have a huge budget for this though so finding anywhere in Texas was difficult, everywhere was overbooked. Rented this affordable little home a day before we left, the whole process was so simple. The property owner was incredibly nice and helpful, we only had to communicate via email and the property itself was more than accommodating with extra towels , hotel soaps, pans and dishes to use and a washer/dryer if needed. They even provided single use containers of laundry detergent and the bookshelves had plenty of books to chose from if you want to read, they had scrabble and uno there also. WiFi signal was great, cable tv so you can watch the news or sports if you want. Hot tub and grill were both very well maintained and ready to use. It’s perfectly secluded enough that you have total peace without being so far into the wild you’re sharing the hot tub with a bear.the trip to Ruidoso shopping /food was less than 20 minutes. This is far from my 1st vacation rental and the 2nd I’ve booked in Ruidoso (that’s really the only kind of lodging I’ll do)But it’s definitely one of the easiest nicest ones I’ve stayed in , in a long time.

We can not thank you enough for helping us switch cabins on the 24 to which was my 57th birthday!!! Toasted Marshmallow was really what we expected from Chilling Retreat!!! It was so clean, a Christmas tree!! We had even called and there was to be one at Chilling retreat and it wasn’t there!!! Beautiful clean hotel quality towels and a usable gas fireplace!!! Just perfect!!!

Amazing property and a great experience. Our trip here was exactly what we wanted and needed. The property is beautiful and very clean. They had everything we needed and it was just amazing. Beautiful cabin, awesome game room, amazing hot tub, and great location! Very clean cabin with plenty of room for my wife, six kids, and I. The lake was a little more than a half mile away and only took about an hour to catch 4 trout. Lots of wild life all around! Also close to shopping and a cool little pizza joint Pizza Rio (very delicious!). We will definitely stay again!!!

I can't even express what an awesome, lovely cabin this is! It was the perfect getaway for change of scenery and to check out of reality for a little while! The front deck is awesome as is the secluded hot tub on the back deck. The cabin itself is quaint, cozy, and has all the amenities you'll need; including kitchen utensils and even some spices and coffee! It was great to sit on the front deck and take in the scenery and the quiet of the mountains while watching the Blue Jays. The place was also immaculately cleaned to perfection. Job well done!

We had a great time in Ruidoso at this property. It was a short drive to different attractions and the views were amazing. We saw different wildlife, enjoyed the pool table and hot tub, and shopped at the many stores. It was a great getaway and fun trip!

We noticed good and bad reviews of Hummingbird Cabins so were feeling a little weary prior to booking. However, we also saw a lot of them were REALLY over the top complaints (like the hummingbird feeders were empty) so decided to take a chance and we're so glad we did. Our cabin was super clean and comfortable. We loved all the wildlife and enjoyed the hot tub. We followed Google Maps instead of looking at the directions though and it took us straight into terrible construction. Since I knew there was no mention of it, when I did review the directions I saw the other way that helped us avoid it, thank goodness! You might mention that though, just to reassure anyone. Thanks for a great stay in Ruidoso!
