The house was so comfortable for all of my family. We had a great Easter weekend. The wind was so bad we stayed inside but we're happy. Fully stocked kitchen was so helpful. The only downfall for myself was that I was on crutches and the stairs were hard but booked your house because of the different levels. I loved the animals on the wall, great touch!

This property was exactly as it looked on-line. Beautiful home with lots of stairs. If you're unable to climb stairs this is not the home for you. But if you're looking for comfort and fun you definitely will enjoy the Grand Elk. The kitchen had everything we needed plus. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and nice towels. Will stay again! Thanks to the owners and the cleaning staff.

The home was just as pictured. It was very clean and well stocked. The property manager left us a small gift upon arrival even with something for our pets. The communication was very easy. We had a great time. We would definitely book the Gelk again. It was very spacious for our family of 7.

We had the best time last week staying in this home! It was the perfect location for us. My children (ages nine through 16) loved the pool table and hot tub! The house was very comfortable and functional. We would recommend it to others and stay there again.

Home was very spacious and clean. My son loved the pool table. We weren't able to use the hot tub because of schedule. Maybe next time I book we will take advantage of the hot tub.

The cabin was a wonderful place for us to stay we all enjoyed our stay and we were not even too bummed out about staying inside during the rainy days. We had problems with the AC when we first arrived however, it was taken care of immediately with no troubles. Also the property manager was very nice and stayed in touch with us until the Air was fixed.

This home was perfect for my family of 8 and 2 dogs. We honestly never left the home the entire stay. The pool table and hot tub was a hit. Definitely recommend this property.

Great set up and great location. Close enough to local attractions while allowing you a quiet peaceful stay. The pool table and hot tub allowed for fun and relaxation in the evenings. Definitely will be visiting here again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Nice big tv in the living room. Very spacious master bedroom. Lots of windows to enjoy the trees. Hot tub was wonderful. My wife enjoyed the pool table even though she lost every time!? Great location - just far enough out of town to be quiet, but close enough to be near everything. Only 10 minutes to downtown and some great restaurants

It is a nice cabin, it’s right off the street and easy to find. It is spacious and cozy but if your wanting something more private I’d look elsewhere because it’s near slot of other cabins. Also a bit outdated but over all a good stay

A little glitch with the driving directions and failure to include the shut off code for the alarm system in our packet did not distract from our overall enjoyment. First of all - it is so refreshing to book with a LOCAL vacation rental company that knows about each individual cabin personally, and has the knowledge and resources of Ruidoso that you can't find online. I grew up traveling to Ruidoso, and have stayed at several Hummingbird Cabins locations. I specifically remember "The Grand Elk", "Tree Tops" and "Holly House". The all have their own charm, great views, and were very comfortable and fun to stay in. I know that they have some cabins that allow pets too if you need to bring your dog. I prefer this to a hotel BY FAR. You have a full kitchen, a hot tub to yourself, worry-free parking, and somewhere to stay that accommodates your entire family/group in one place. I've had questions before when I was deciding where to book, and just gave them a call and they helped me sort out which rental was best for our needs/budget/timing. Definitely better than some huge impersonal rental company that isn't even in town.

Where to start LOL! Me my wife Aida and two other couples came up to Ruidoso for my birthday and we had the pleasure of staying in the Grand Elk. VERY NICE was clean and very spacious with great views and the decor was nice and like I pictured prior to arriving. Speaking of arriving all persons I had the pleasure of speaking with from Humming bird rentals was a true step up in customer service very helpful polite and patient.the directions I was given to the cabin were very easy to follow. We were very comfortable and had really really good time. I am going to call later today and reserve the Grand Elk for this summer My wife and I would really like to take our kiddos up to Ruidoso and let them enjoy some of what we did.

We enjoyed it here, it's very comfortable.You feel like at home because the beds made you fall fast asleep.The deck was nice to sit at and watch the stars or tell scary stories while drinking hot chocolate. The kitchen helps make good breakfast!!!!It's nice here, the best past is getting to see lots of deer running around behind the cabin (SUPER COOL)P.S the chairs are comfortable to watch movies!
