Nestled among the pines, Eagles Perch offers an eagle's view from the expansive back deck, providing an ideal spot to soak in the mountain scenery. The home’s layout is thoughtfully designed, with the downstairs living area and master bedroom fully wheelchair accessible, making it a welcoming space for all guests.
Inside, enjoy the warmth and charm of a traditional cabin feel, complete with an electric fireplace perfect for unwinding with your furry friends—yes, Eagles Perch is dog-friendly! Take advantage of modern amenities like satellite TV in HD and high-speed Wi-Fi, making it easy to stay connected. With approximately 1,290 sq. ft. of living space, air conditioning, and an inviting ambiance, this cabin combines rustic comfort with convenience.
Looking for a longer stay? Eagles Perch offers a monthly rental option, with all utilities included, so you can fully immerse yourself in the mountain lifestyle.
Ruidoso, Alto, and surrounding areas: Submerse yourself within the towering pines of Lincoln County and watch local wildlife such as elk, deer, wild horses, turkey, birds, and more in their natural habitats. Plan a day basking in the stillness of our national forest while hiking, biking, or fishing, golfing at one of our multiple golf courses or spend a fun night out on the town at one of the area’s local attractions! Be sure to swim or fish at the beautiful Grindstone or Alto Lake, delight your senses at Winter Park with roller coaster and tubing, and explore the ski slopes and hiking trails throughout Ski Apache. Win big at one of our three local casinos and enjoy the excitement of live quarter horse racing at Ruidoso Downs Racetrack. Be happy you took a respite from the concrete jungle. Please Note: This home is dog-friendly with a limit of 3 dogs. A pet fee of $50.00 (plus tax) per pet applies. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing your furry friend so we can make the necessary arrangements. For their safety and comfort, pets are required to be kenneled when left alone in all of our pet-friendly cabins.
Bedding: 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Double
The fine print, what to expect: Our cabins include basic cable, satellite or streaming television, basic cooking utensils, propane gas grill (propane provided), washer and dryer (if applicable- please look at the amenities), towels and bed linens for guest use along with heating for winter. Our homes come equipped with either a drip or Keurig coffee maker. *Linens and bath towels *Extra blankets and bedding *Spa towels for properties with spas/hot tubs. While our kitchens are fully equipped with glassware/cookware/utensils/dishes, etc. this does not ensure that all homes will have a blender, crock pot, spices, coffee, or condiments. Please call ahead to confirm if items such as these are available. If not, we ask that you bring your own. Basic toiletries in the Master bathroom only are: *One (1) travel-sized each of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, disposable toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap, and facial bar soap, *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on the holder and two (2) stored in the bathroom. Basic toiletries in all additional bathrooms (if applicable) are: *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on the holder and two (2) stored in the bathroom, *one (1) travel-sized bar soap and/or facial soap, *one (1) hairdryer in the home. Basic supplies in the home: *five (5) All-Clear laundry pods, *dish detergent in pod or liquid form (quantities may vary and/or be limited), and three (3) Lemi Shine rinse agent in single-use cups (for homes with dishwashers), *liquid dish soap in (at minimum) a partial container (may only be in homes without dishwashers- check amenities to ensure the home you booked has a dishwasher), *two to three (2-3) rolls of paper towels, *two (2) trash liners in each waste basket; one (1) prepared in a basket and at least one (1) in the bottom or under the sink. We encourage guests to please be mindful of the supplies we provide and always bring extras as housekeeping does not deliver more than what is required to be left in the homes. We highly encourage guests to be prepared with access to chains and/or 4-wheel drive in winter months. Firewood is not provided for homes with wood burning fireplaces.

The views from the balcony felt private and we enjoyed watching the elk & deer graze the backyard every morning while we drank our coffee.

I would not drive through the neighborhood after dark. The narrow streets and a couple steep hills. Worth it for the views! The bird watching at this place was like nothing I had ever seen before. So many different birds. There were a few bugs, but that is to be expected this time of year with it getting colder outside. We would love to stay here again. I would say, if there is absolutely any chance of snow this property could be very difficult to get to.

Our only regret; the wind was so strong, we didn’t get to enjoy the back deck like we were wanting to. Springtime is unpredictable even in the “paradise of Ruidoso”!

It was nice weather when we stayed here but I can sure see why you would need tire chains to visit in the winter during bad weather. We would stay at Eagle's Perch again!
