Welcoming house. Sisters enjoyed quiet time together. Card games and visiting. Racing was sad to watch flooding and cancellations. Ruidoso village fires and floods are heartbreaking but we felt thankful to be in cabin above the turmoil. Enjoyed the views from deck

Absolutely love the area as we had never been there or heard of Ruidoso for that matter. The town has great shops and you can spend the day there. We also went site seeing and hiking. Saw elk, mule deer and wild horses while on our stay. And the weather… Weather was amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The house is up in the mountain enough to have a gorgeous view and close enough to town in case you need to run and get something. The cabin was clean and as described. Loved all the wildlife and just sitting on the deck and enjoying the view.

Never got tired of looking at the view of the mountains. Any issues with property were taken care of immediately. Steps up to the main cabin level were a challenge for 70 and 80 year old adults.

House and views were great. Especially loved the main level deck that wrapped around to the fenced backyard so that my kids could play safely. Would highly recommend. Please keep in mind that there are a number of stairs - if that doesn’t work for you and your group this might not be the place for you. The railing on the inside stairs was a bit wider than I liked with my curious 1 year old so we kept that blocked off when he was roaming (no issues for my almost 3 y/o).

King Aurther Castle was a great place to stay. The view was amazing! Mornings on the porch watching the deer and turkeys stroll thru was a good start for the day! You are 30 minutes to an hour from lots of fun activities, or just stay and watch the deer!

For the last several years we have been going to Santa Fe. After the fire at Bonita lake and the family cabin was lost, we didn't feel drawn to the town, it was just sad. This cabin made us fall in love with the area again.

Five lifelong friends went on a road trip to Ruidoso. The home was wonderful! The stairs to get to the house did leave us breathless, it's quite a climb but we are all over 60. The view from the porch was absolutely beautiful!!!. We really enjoyed the house and the memories that we made in Ruidoso!

This is the second time I have stayed with a Hummingbird property. They were excellent and kind to work with. Our key code wasn't working and they reset it no problem. We arrived to the cabin about 30 minutes early, as it was snowing and we wanted to make sure we made it in case roads were bad and we got snowed in. We knew we weren't able to check in yet so we hung out on our truck. Housekeeping was still there and the man cleaning was so sweet and kind. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and I cannot say enough about the view!

We stayed at this property over Labor Day weekend to enjoy some late summer/ early fall activities in Ruidoso. The cabin was extremely clean and well maintained. The views from the front porch look out on the whole of Ruidoso and are quite frankly breathtaking. We have stayed at other properties maintained by Hummingbird Cabins and they do a consistently great job of communicating the check-in information and upkeep of the properties. We had a wonderful stay here and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Of note, the cabin is located quite a way up a windy mountain road that got steep in certain areas, so I would recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle if trying to get here in heavy winter snow.

Overall this was a great spot!! Spectacular views and a great place to watch the sunrise and sunset. The space was great for our family of four, plenty of room. The property management was very responsive when we had an issue with the upstairs A/C not working and remedied the situation promptly. Would for sure stay here again!

If you like being spoiled on vacation, this is the spot. The house has a spectacular view of the mountains from the front of the house, and the back offers secluded pine trees and wildlife. The decks are well appointed with furniture to relax on, and everything is lit up well for evening and early morning. We were able to see turkeys and 9 deer every day of our stay. The interior of the house is pristine: decorated beautifully and kept very clean. The property's location is close to everything you need in Ruidoso! Must be able to climb stairs though. If you can, this rental is a YES!!

View from front patio was fantastic. Great place to enjoy a beer or glass of wine. Loved the vaulted wood ceilings and the decor was warm and inviting. Couches need to be replaced as they are very uncomfortable but per a previous review response, the owners are replacing. Hummingbird properties was very responsive to a minor need. Loved the back patio and fenced in yard area. Great for kids to play. Saw a lot of deer and wild turkeys visited our front area as well. Ruidoso is a great area and we also saw quite a few elk near the roads.

Escaping the heat of Texas for a week of golf, good food and great company- This cabin was perfect ! The stairs up are a hike - but without them you wouldn't have the stunning view that we had . Sitting on the deck with wine, cheese, a jacket, and the mountains was everything we'd hoped for. We will absolutely return to this very spot !

This house was really nice and the location is great. The views from the porch are beautiful. And the hot tub is a nice bonus after a long day running around. Only have one cautionary note - if you're planning to stay here in the summer, the cabin does not have air conditioning and it gets extremely hot on warm days. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay.

Note from HBC: Home has a window unit AC upstairs in the master bedroom that can be wheeled to the landing to provide air to the main house. :)

The neighborhood and the property itself was beautiful and the views spectacular. The only drawback was the steepness and angle of the driveway and the amount of stairs to get to the front door. That will require better planning on my part, next time. The home is beautifully decorated and provided most of the necessities for our stay. The hot tub had a little too much chlorine for our use (which was only once). I would recommend the property to anyone able to do the daily climb of stairs with ease, taking into account the elevation you will be at. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Overall this was a great property! House was clean, beds are comfortable, location is great to everything and the view is perfect! There is a ton of wildlife in the neighborhood and we absolutely enjoyed seeing them in our backyard as well as driving around. The hummingbird staff was very responsive to any needs and the maintenance guy was fantastic, super friendly and always available.

The house was excellent! The views from the front deck are unbelievable - we ate every meal on the deck overlooking the mountains and enjoying the cool breezes. We saw deer and elk every day, sometimes while we were sitting in the hot tub. It was a bit warm in the house in the afternoons due to an August heatwave, but we appreciated the a/c upstairs at night (although it is very loud) and the box fans that were available. The washer and dryer was very helpful for a longer stay with kids, but the washing machine was a little dirty at the seal with some debris in it that I had to clean out. The updated kitchen was great and very clean. The only thing I would add would be some hooks or bars in the downstairs bathroom for towels to hang on. We will definitely return!

Cabin was very well maintained and updated. Very spacious for everyone to enjoy. Outside the master bedroom had amazing views. The back patio was also big and spacious. The only downside of the back patio was that it needed more lighting. You can't really enjoy eating or hanging out in the fresh air after sunset. But will definitely return again to this property!

A dreamy home away from home
This is a beautiful cabin! This cabin has everything for your dream getaway! The view is the best view we have ever seen! The cabin makes you feel like home away from home! It is so cozy and warming. The beds are extremely comfortable. And as if it couldn't get even more comfy and relaxing, the hot tub is the cherry on top to ultimate vacation perfection!
