Kirkman
Kirkman is the best choice when coming to Ruidoso for that nice vacation spot. This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home, located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, will give you both the feel of being greeted into this spacious mountain getaway all while feeling right at home. Get away from the city life and kick back on your front deck, perfect for barbequing on the propane grill with propane already provided, and taking in the cool mountain breezes. The living room offers great seating if you want to watch television on the flat screen, or just catch up on some much-needed family time around the nice wood burning fireplace. Ready for a home cooked meal? The fully-equipped kitchen has all the modern conveniences with plenty of space to make it easy to get around. Go into the master bedroom that has a Queen bed, and enjoy the walk-in shower. Down the hall, there are two more bedrooms one with a Queen-sized bed and one with a Queen bed and adjacent, a Queen trundle and a twin bunkbed! The guest bathroom which is down the same hall also has a walk-in shower! At the end of the day, one of the best things about this place is the oversized front deck where you can relax with your cup of coffee or a nice cup of tea at any of the patio tables. Kirkman has a little something for everyone! This home DOES NOT have air-conditioning for the summer months. (FIREWOOD IS NOT PROVIDED FOR FIREPLACE)
Ruidoso, Alto, and surrounding areas: Submerse yourself within the towering pines of Lincoln County and watch local wildlife such as elk, deer, wild horses, turkey, birds and more in their natural habitats. Plan a day basking in the stillness of our national forest while hiking, biking or fishing, golfing at one of our multiple golf courses or spend a fun night out on the town at one of the area’s local attractions! You'll be happy you took a respite from the concrete jungle. PLEASE READ: *Our cabins include basic cable or satellite television, basic cooking utensils, propane gas grill (propane provided), washer and dryer (if applicable- please look at the amenities), towels and bed linens for guest use along with heating for winter. Our homes come equipped with either a drip or Keurig coffee maker. *Linens and bath towels *Extra blankets and bedding *Spa towels for properties with spas/hot tubs. While our kitchens are fully equipped with glassware/cookware/utensils/dishes, etc. this does not ensure that all homes will have a blender, crock pot, spices, coffee, or condiments. Please call ahead to confirm if items such as these are available. If not, we ask that you bring your own. Basic toiletries in the Master bathroom only are: *One (1) travel sized each of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, disposable toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap, and facial bar soap, *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on holder and two (2) stored in bathroom. Basic toiletries in all additional bathrooms (if applicable) are: *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on holder and two (2) stored in bathroom, *one (1) travel sized bar soap and/or facial soap, *one (1) hairdryer in the home. Basic supplies in the home: *five (5) All-Clear laundry pods, *dish detergent in pod or liquid form (quantities may vary and/or be limited) and three (3) Lemi Shine rinse agent in single use cups (for homes with dishwashers), *liquid dish soap in (at minimum) a partial container (may only be in homes without dishwashers- check amenities to ensure the home you booked has a dishwasher), *two to three (2-3) rolls of paper towels, *two (2) trash liners in each waste basket; one (1) prepared in basket and at least one (1) in the bottom or under sink. We encourage guests to please be mindful of the supplies we provide and always bring extras as housekeeping does not deliver more than what is required to be left in the homes. We highly encourage guests to be prepared with access to chains and/or 4-wheel drive in winter months. Firewood is not provided for homes with wood burning fireplaces.

Got to see numerous amounts of elk, mule deer, and wild horses everyday in the area is this home during our stay. Fabulous large deck to sit on and take in the fantastic weather and wildlife walking the neighborhood. Great parking for this home also. House was clean, spacious, and well supplied.

The AC also had no problem keeping the house cool. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place with great value and lots of places to sleep.

House gets really hot when the heater is on so we had it off most the time, but we are very hot natured individuals. Over all it was perfect for our first trip to New Mexico.
