We had such a wonderful stay! This cabin has modern amenities but has classic cabin features. We also really enjoyed the decor- beautiful artwork! We also appreciated the bed setup in each room to accommodate for families to share. Thank you so much!

This cabin was an absolute dream! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious kitchen was a chef's delight, allowing us to whip up delicious meals every morning and evening. We loved cozying up in the comfortable living room and catching a movie on the large screen TV after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. Speaking of beautiful surroundings, the hot tub and decking was the perfect way to unwind under the star-filled sky. The fenced in backyard was a haven for my chihuahua, who spent hours happily running around and sniffing out all the new scents. As a birdwatcher, I was thrilled! I spotted at least six different species flitting around the property, adding to the peaceful ambience. But the wildlife sightings didn't stop there! We were lucky enough to see majestic elk, curious turkeys, and even a band of wild horses during our stay. The entire neighborhood exuded a sense of tranquility, making it easy to understand why some people would choose to call this place home. Overall, our stay at the Spotted Owl cabin was truly unforgettable. The cabin itself was exceptional, the location was perfect, and the abundance of wildlife made it a nature lover's paradise. We can't wait to return someday!

Our family and fur babies loved our stay @spotted owl. It was clean, cozy and pet friendly. We would definitely stay again. Hoping that in the future they think about placing a king size bed in master bedroom. That would make our stay even better.

Absolutely amazing house!! The location is awesome, so secluded but yet close to town. House was spotlessly clean. Having a fully enclosed back yard and front deck for my pups was the best and will definitely have us staying here again in the future. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

One of the best stay we have had in Ruidoso. We stayed her for a softball tournament on 6/1/23 - 6-/4/23 and it was awesome. Loved that is was away from all the hustle and bustle, the privacy, and how spacious and clean it was. The drive to and from town was so nice and scenic. We are definitely keeping this in our favorites for a future stay. A definite 10/10! Thank you all so much!

I can’t say in words how wonderful this stay was! This cabin had all the essentials and comfort we were looking for. The hot tub and fire were an added luxury, while we watched the Elk graze in the front yard. If we are back Ruidoso, this will be a definite return to stay again at the Spotted Owl!

The Spotted Owl is a wonderful place. It is well appointed with everything you could need. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Love the gated front porch. It allows your fur babies to be out there with you. Nice private backyard. The neighbors can’t watch you while you enjoy in the relaxing hot tub. We will be coming back.

Left the heat of West Texas to escape to this gem in the woods of Ruidoso. It is a very well appointed cabin that comfortable fit all 5 of us. We had a great time and we would return again next time we are in town.

I don’t have enough words to describe this cabin!!! Awesome location, only 5 minutes from everything, yet feels very secluded. Wildlife everywhere, everyday… wild horses, deer, elk, wild turkeys. Great hiking right around the cabin in the National Forest and gorgeous lakes. Excellent, beautiful cabin with everything you could need and very dog friendly. Nice hot tub for after hiking. Would recommend highly, and we will be back!

This cabin had everything we wanted in a Ruidoso vacation. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We recommend this cabin highly. Close to everything yet the view all around of pine trees, wildlife and open air felt as though we were tucked in a hidden corner. The spotted owl was by far the best rental property we have stayed in. Kitchen well stocked, soft beds, clean. It is clear that the owners we involved and visit the property often. The artwork and decor was amazing. It was cozy and comfortable. Great for relaxing. Hot tub was clean, fenced back yard was perfect for the dog. We loved our stay!

We travel a lot and the Spotted Owl mountain house was the best place we've stayed. The location to town is perfect. The house is tucked away in a nice neighborhood in the forest but only ten minutes from town and everything else. We saw tons of wildlife in the neighborhood every day (wild horses, deer, elk, chickens.) The owners of this home have thought of every little detail to make it easy to find things and to make you feel right at home. The home was spotless and the little touches made the place so inviting and comfortable. We loved enjoying the views from the front porch in the morning. We actually saw three deer right on the property. Movie nights in front of the stone fireplace were a good way to relax after a busy day outside enjoying nature. The hot tub in the backyard was private and the perfect place to star gaze after a long day hiking. The linens were fresh and fluffy, the beds and couch were comfortable and the entire home was spotless. We cooked a few dinners while we were there and the kitchen had everything we needed. All of the appliances are brand new. The layout of the home is open and spacious yet cozy at the same time and the decor is perfect for a mountain house! Thank you to the owners who are willing to share such a special place with others. You make your guests feel like family with the way you care for your mountain house. There is a lot of love in that home and all guests are bound to feel it. When we return to Ruidoso we will always stay at the Spotted Owl! My little girls are already asking when we can visit again.

This is our first Airbnb experience and I was a bit nervous. We had an amazing time! The property is in a great location and the house is so warm and inviting. Peaceful and beautiful
We enjoyed our stay at the spotted owl cabin! Loved spending most of our time on the patio enjoying the beautiful nature sounds and scenery. The cabin provided plenty of space and comfort for our party of six. The beds were very comfy and plenty of bathroom space. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the backyard. It’s a great location in Ruidoso. This is a beautiful cabin and we can’t wait to come back!

Quiet Relaxing Getaway at Spotted Owl
This was one of the most beautiful, quiet, relaxing places we have stayed. We have literally been many places in the US and abroad. Undoubtedly, Spotted Owl ranks at the top of the list. The facilities were very modern, but yet relaxing and secluded. Spotted Owl is easily accessible and since we are elderly, the single level was perfect for us. We would enjoy many more trips to Spotted Owl!

Hummingbird cabin
We had the best time at hummingbird cabin! The cabin clean and beautiful! The scene was breath taking and there were so many hiking trails near by. We were so close to midtown that we tried so many amazing restaurants near by! I cannot wait to go back and visit again! It was relaxing and exciting at the same time!

Amazing Stay at Spotted Owl Cabin
We loved our recent stay at Spotted Owl! The home is beautiful, well appointed, and arranged well for either three couples or a family gathering. I really appreciated the kitchen, which was well stocked with dishes, glasses, pots & pans, etc., as well as the amazing outdoor spaces. I could sit on the front deck for hours just taking in the smell of the beautiful pine trees as well as the beautiful surroundings, and the hot tub in the back yard was amazing! It is well maintained and was very clean. Another thing I loved about Spotted Owl is how close it is to the nearest trailhead, just a short walk from the cabin! Finally, even though this cabin is “dog friendly”, I could not find any evidence of “dog” anywhere, which is a testament of how well Hummingbird Cabins maintains this cabin between guests. My deepest appreciation to Hummingbird Cabins for our amazing stay at Spotted Owl! We will be back!
