Welcome to Wild Flower Lodge, a comfortable and uniquely charming mountain getaway in Alto, New Mexico. Conveniently located just off the main road, this spacious one-level cabin makes it easy to enjoy everything the Ruidoso and Alto area has to offer.

With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Wild Flower Lodge is designed with families and groups in mind. The large primary bedroom is especially accommodating, featuring two king beds and two twin beds, while the second bedroom offers a king bed and the third has a queen bed.

All of the bathrooms feature a convenient Jack-and-Jill configuration, making them easily accessible from the bedrooms and common areas.
The cabin's single-level design, level access, and handicap-accessible features make getting around especially convenient. After a day of exploring, relax in the private hot tub or settle into the cabin's large covered front porch, which extends the entire length of the home and provides plenty of room to sit back, visit, and enjoy the mountain setting.

Inside, you'll find a comfortable blend of mountain character and practical comforts. Rustic touches such as live-edge baseboards and trim add a distinctive lodge feel, while central heat keeps the cabin warm and cozy during cooler mountain evenings.

And the location is hard to beat! Wild Flower Lodge is only minutes from Winter Park, Alto Lake, and the turnoff to Ski Apache, making it a convenient home base for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, boating, sightseeing, and all of the outdoor adventures the Sacramento Mountains have to offer.

A Little Wild Flower Lodge History:
This cabin has an unusual story! The structure originally began life as a 1980s-era portable school classroom from Nob Hill schools. After the school building was eventually torn down, the structure found a completely new life as a mountain home. Today, Wild Flower Lodge combines that bit of local history with rustic mountain touches and modern vacation comforts.

Whether you're planning a family getaway, a ski trip, or simply looking for a comfortable place to relax in the mountains, Wild Flower Lodge is a convenient and welcoming home base for your Alto adventure.  Bring the whole family! Wild Flower Lodge is pet friendly, so your four-legged companions can enjoy the mountain getaway too.

Designed with convenience in mind, Wild Flower Lodge offers level entry, wide doorways, and a bathroom with grab bars at the toilet and a walk-in shower, making the cabin more comfortable for guests with mobility needs. Just down the road, Alto Lake offers opportunities for hiking and fishing, making it easy to embrace the great outdoors. Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or an extended stay, Wild Flower Lodge is your ideal haven, equipped with central air-conditioning to keep you cool during those summer months. Ruidoso, Alto, and surrounding areas: Submerse yourself within the towering pines of Lincoln County and watch local wildlife such as elk, deer, wild horses, turkey, birds, and more in their natural habitats. Plan a day basking in the stillness of our national forest while hiking, biking, or fishing, golfing at one of our multiple golf courses or spend a fun night out on the town at one of the area’s local attractions! Be sure to swim or fish at the beautiful Grindstone or Alto Lake, delight your senses at Winter Park with roller coaster and tubing, and explore the ski slopes and hiking trails throughout Ski Apache. Please Note: This home is dog-friendly with a limit of 3 dogs. A pet fee of $50.00 (plus tax) per pet applies. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing your furry friend so we can make the necessary arrangements. For their safety and comfort, pets are required to be kenneled when left alone in all of our pet-friendly cabins.

Bedding: 3 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twin

The fine print, what to expect: Our cabins include basic cable, satellite or streaming television, basic cooking utensils, propane gas grill (propane provided), washer and dryer (if applicable- please look at the amenities), towels and bed linens for guest use along with heating for winter. Our homes come equipped with either a drip or Keurig coffee maker. *Linens and bath towels *Extra blankets and bedding *Spa towels for properties with spas/hot tubs. While our kitchens are fully equipped with glassware/cookware/utensils/dishes, etc. this does not ensure that all homes will have a blender, crock pot, spices, coffee, or condiments. Please call ahead to confirm if items such as these are available. If not, we ask that you bring your own. Basic toiletries in the Master bathroom only are: * bar soap *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on the holder and two (2) stored in the bathroom. Basic toiletries in all additional bathrooms (if applicable) are: *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on the holder and two (2) stored in the bathroom, *one (1) travel-sized bar soap and/or facial soap. Basic supplies in the home: *five (5) All-Clear laundry pods, *dish detergent in pod or liquid form (quantities may vary and/or be limited), and three (3) Lemi Shine rinse agent in single-use cups (for homes with dishwashers), *liquid dish soap in (at minimum) a partial container (may only be in homes without dishwashers- check amenities to ensure the home you booked has a dishwasher), *two to three (2-3) rolls of paper towels, *two (2) trash liners in each waste basket; one (1) prepared in a basket and at least one (1) in the bottom or under the sink. We encourage guests to please be mindful of the supplies we provide and always bring extras as housekeeping does not deliver more than what is required to be left in the homes. We highly encourage guests to be prepared with access to chains and/or 4-wheel drive in winter months. Firewood is not provided for homes with wood-burning fireplaces.
