We had a great experience and stay at the Hideout Cabin! We loved the location and privacy it provided. The cabin was very clean and comfortable inside and out.

We loved the cozy nature of the cabin and surroundings. While the cabin is nearby others in the neighborhood, nearby noise was not an issue. The location was wonderful with easy access to town for shopping, eateries, recreational but far enough away to be out in its own world. The amenities were enough to comfortably stay for a long weekend and enjoy ourselves.

This property is awesome! Very remote and private. Must have 4 wheel drive in all seasons. Birds, deer even a bear make up your neighbors as property is inches from Lincoln Nat'l Forest. Super clean, hot tub sanitized just before arrival. 1 large king bed, this cabin is for 2 people only but such gorgeous views and hikes into the forest. It is exactly as the listing states.

My husband and I chose this property to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It was located in a beautiful area (although I highly recommend maybe a 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle to access the property as the hill is steep!). The cabin was clean and I personally loved the little decorations. It was a quiet area and we also loved the hot tub! It was just an overall quaint, charming place and we will be back!

Pleasantly relived when we arrived and saw that the cabin gave us just what we were looking for. Privacy, quiet, peaceful. It is close enough to downtown and at the base of road to Ski Apache. HOT water, hot tub was clean, bed is soft but FIRM. Cabin is perfect for 2 people. We had wildlife pass the cabin. You definitely need a 2 or 4wd depending on the season to reach the cabin.

We stayed in Hideout Cabin, it was perfect for the two of us. Sunrises were amazing and lots of national forest to explore while still being a short drive to Ruidoso. We would stay here again.

Perfect get away cabin. Definitely will need a 4x4 vehicle to make up to this particular cabin. Hot tub time is very enjoyable. Host has good communication with you. Enjoy your stay!

Though I didn't realize that this property was in the midst of other cabins, it's particular location was secluded from the others. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views very clean comfortable bed up on the mountain perfect for a couple. I would definitely recommend 4 wheel drive winter or summer and bring I hummingbird feeder to deter the local bears coming on your porch at night. We love this place, it had everything we needed.

Wife and I LOVED the cabin. Great location. AWESOME views. Nice and secluded. Perfect for a couples getaway. Drive up to cabin is very steep but VERY MUCH worth it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was just perfect. We would love to book this cabin again. Very close to Sierra Blanca. I recommend that you stay in Alto as opposed to Ruidoso. Higher up, less busy, more in the woods.

Drive to cabin is steep it's not an exaggeration please make sure your vehicle can make the climb. But the cabin is beautiful! We loved it.

This cabin was exactly as described and was such a joy to stay at. The bed was comfortable and our favorite spot was the porch. The views are great as they're unobstructed. I would definitely rent again!

We had a wonderful stay! Really enjoyed the views from the cabin and the hot tub was so nice when it was cold outside! Drive way is steep but we didn't have any issues with my 4 runner that isn't 4 wheel drive. Would definitely stay here again.

A great cabin. Private, secluded. Four wheel drive vehicle makes getting up and down the hill much easier. Everything you need is there. A great all around experience. Would definitely go back.

Booking as well as check in was simple and easy. Cabin was nice and cozy, perfect little get away for me and my wife. The empty bottles were intriguing. They recommend 4 wheel drive or snow chains to get to the property. This is certainly true especially if there’s any kind of moisture

The cabin was perfect for a honeymoon getaway. The hot tub was amazing and secluded enough for privacy. The neighbors were quiet and we didn’t run into anyone. Highly suggest an all wheel vehicle or a 4 wheel drive truck to get in. Our Subaru Impreza made it up and down without too much difficulty but it would have been a lot easier with a truck. Overall a very nice place and definitely will be going back.

They thought of everything ! .The quality touches put into making this a great little cabin was felt. From the fine craftsmanship floor to ceiling , the linens ,the hummingbird feeder..and everything was so clean and taken care of ! It made this a very cozy space ,and then to find quite and beauty from your porch ... it was hard to leave.

Great place to stay. The only problem we had was how steep the road was to get to cabin. You really need a 4x4 all year. Other than that, it was an amazing place.

Everything was great with one exception. The roof was coming loose on the south, southwest corner and the metal was flapping. The first night it wasn't a big deal but the second night it was far more windy and the panel banged all night long. We didn't sleep at all. I left a message with the maintenance person to make sure it was fixed before someone stayed there again but never received a reply. Management note: roof was repaired day guests departed. Could not repair with the 50+ mile hour winds.

Perfect location of all the cabins. Top of the hill and private. 4 wheel drive helped us up the hill. Very nice amenities and had everything we needed. Quaint little town with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. Horse track racing nearby was fun!

The wife and and wish we could’ve stayed longer! The area surrounding the cabin was absolutely beautiful and the cabin itself was amazing. We are very much looking forward to our next trip back to New Mexico and staying at this cabin. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend. This was my wife and I’s first out of state trip and we could not have stayed at better place.

Overall, we were pleased with the Hideout Cabin. It was charming and secluded. Inside was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. However, the hot tub was a little outdated. It was hard to keep it up to temp and would constantly cycle the jets with no way of turning them off. At times, the jets would continue running for hours into the night and it was right outside our bedroom window so very noisy.

We stayed at the Hideout Cabin for our anniversary. While we have stayed at several of the other cabins and enjoyed it thoroughly, I would need to say there were several issues with this cabin. I understand about having to limit supplies due to cost but the cabin only had 2- washclothes for the 3 days we stayed at the cabin, plenty of towels but could have have used a few more cleaning supplies. Also, the wi-fi did not work as advertisied, and the Direct TV did not have any service. We of course did not come to stay in the cabin to watch tv, but we do watch the news of a morning. The bed was very comfortable and for the most part the cabin was very clean. I do believe we will probably stay at another Hummingbird Cabin on our next visit. We love Ruidoso and will be back soon.
